Five security people - Loreto Bodrogi, Isia Vann, Varja Lagos, Minke Mies and Felix Resumir were visiting a car repair shop called Frydos Autosupply n' More very frequently after their shifts in the company. Most of them stayed there from 6pm to 9pm, and the credit card transactions showed that they spent a lot of money in that store ranging from $40 to $300. On January 19th (Sunday), four security people – Isia Vann, Varja Lagos, Edvard Vann and Hennie Osvaldo gathered together in the car repair store again. Varja Lagos and Edvard Vann stayed there from 1pm to 4pm, and spend about $50 and $200. Isia Vann also stayed at the store during that period without spending money. Hennie Osvaldo visited that store from around 6:30pm to 8pm and spent about $100. This series of events are significant: it is very suspicious for a group of security people to gather in a car repair store nearly everyday after working hours, especially on the Sunday before kidnapping event.(Fig 2.1)
-
Several security people including Isia Vann, Loreto Bodrogi and Hennie Osvaldo always gathered at another security person's home (Inga Ferro) after work (6pm ~ 11pm). They left Inga Ferro’s home, visited one executive’s home about 3:30am and then left at about 8am in the morning. Another security named Minke Mies always stayed at his own place at night and visited the exceutives at 3:30am. These executives include Ada Campo-Corrente, Orhan Strum, Willem Vasco-Pais and Ingrid Barranco. For example, on January 6th, Isia Vann stayed at Inga Ferro’s home for almost 5 hours from 6pm to 11pm,then visited Ada Campo-Corrente’s home from 11pm to 7am. On January 7th, Loreto Bodrogi visited Ada Campo-Corrente’s home from 3:30am to 7am. Ada Campo-Corrente is one of the executives. On January 8th, another security Minke Mies visited the executive Orhan Strum’s place from 11pm to 3am. On January 9th, Loreto Bodrogi visited the executive Orhan Strum’s home from around 3:30am to 7:30am. On January 11th (Saturday) , Isia Vann and Hennie Osvaldo visited the executive named Willem Vasco-Pais’s home separately. Isia Vann stayed there from 11pm on January 10th to 3:30am on January 11th, and the stay period of Hennie Osvaldo is from 3:30am to 11am. On January 14th, Henie Osvaldo and Minke Mies visited the executive named Ingrid Barranco’s place.Henie Osvaldo stayed there from 11pm on January 13th to 3:30am on January 14th.Minke Mies stayed there from 3:30am to 7:30am. These security people didn't have meals or play golf with those executives, so it seems that they are not friends with those executives. Visiting others' houses their houses before dawn is very suspicious. Perhaps they never entered the houses and were just observing. They stopped the midnight visitation after January 14th. However, the unusual gathering event at one security person’s place still lasted until January 19th. (Fig 2.2)
- Instead of going to lunch directly at noon, some security people went to Brewed Awakenings and Guy’s Gyros first and then ate lunch at Hippokampos or Gelatogalore restaurant. For example, on January 11th, 14th and 15th, Loreto Bodrogi went to Brewed Awakenings or Guy’s Gyros and stayed there from 11am to 1pm without spending money. Then, he had lunch at Gelatogalore or Hippokampos at 1pm. The same thing happened to Hennie Osvaldo and Minke Mies. The event is very significant because few employees went to a place at noon without eating for lunch. We are very confident that there are some problems related to these security people. (Fig 2.3)
-
Lucas Alcazar (car 1) went to headquarter six times during the midnight. He went to office at 8 am and left at 6pm during most of the weekdays. However, on January 6th, 8th, and 15th, he went back to office around 10pm and left at midnight. On January 7th and 16th, he went back again at midnight and stayed at headquarter for one hour and 10 minutes separately. On January 17th, he had stayed at headquarter from 8:30pm to 10:40pm. This event is significant because all the GAStech employees rarely came back to the office after work. Lucas Alcazar is IT helpdesk, and he is the only employee who went back to headquarter at night. (Fig 2.4)
-
Sten Sanjorge Jr didn’t show up before January 17th. He had stayed at Chostus hotel for three days from January 17th to January 19th. He is the president/CEO of the company. It seems that he was visiting this GAStech sub-branch from other city. The executive golf party on the 19th (in the following unusal event ) was likely organized to welcome him. (Fig 2.5)
- There was a party for all the executives at Desafio Golf Course from 12:30pm to 18:30pm on January 19th. All the executives such as Ada Campo-Corrente, Orhan Strum, Willem Vasco-Pais, Ingrid Barranco and Sten Sanjorge Jr. were there. Everyone spent more than $100 in the club. Although these executives are quite close to each other, it was the first time for them to gather for a long time during the two weeks. Also it happened just before the kidnapping that makes it more significant. (Fig 2.6)
- Four engineers – Lidelse Dedos, Birgitta Frente, Marin Onda and Kare Orilla have their breakfast together from 7am to 8am every weekday in a restaurant called Hallowed Grounds. Their expenses ranged from $3 to $66. The credit card charges matched the loyalty card records during most of the time. But on January 8th, 9th, 10th and 14th, there was a lack of loyalty card records for Kare Orilla while there were charges on a credit card. On January 6th, Marin Onda stayed at Hallowed Grounds for more than 15 minutes without credit card records. On January 9th, Lidelse Dedos stayed at Hallowed Grounds for more than half an hour without spending money. We can assume that these engineers ate together every morning and sometimes pay others' bills. This pattern of event is significant because they didn’t live together but they met every morning and had breakfast together. During these two weeks, no other engineer ate at Hallowed Grounds except for those four. (Fig 2.7)
-
There was a party at the engineer Lars Azada’s home on January 10th from 7pm to midnight. Six IT people and six engineers attended the party, including IT Helpdesk Lucas Alcazar, IT Technician Isak Baza, IT Group Manager Linnea Bergen, Drill Technician Isande Borrasca, IT Technician Nils Calixto, Drill Technician Axel Calzas, Hydraulic Technician Gustav Cazar, Engineering Group Manager Lidelse Dedos, Geologist Birgitta Frente, Hydraulic Technician Vira Frente, Geologist Adra Nubarron and Drill Technician Brand Tempestad. The event is significant there were no other parties for IT people and engineers during the two weeks. (Fig 2.8)
-
Truck 107 parked at Carlyle Chemical Inc. instead of GASTech from 3:30pm to 8:30am on January 7th, 8th and 9th. Irene Nant and Cecilia Morluniau drove truck 107 together during those three days. Cecilia Morluniau drove this truck in the morning and Irene Nant drove it in the afternoon. The event is significant because all the other trucks parked at the company everyday, but truck 107 parked at the chemical company three times. Maybe truck 107 was used for suspicous purposes. (Fig 2.9)
-
There are two groups of people from different departments socially very closer. The first group is IT Group Manager Linnea Bergen, Geologist Adra Nubarron and Faciliteis Group Manager Bertrand Ovan. They lived together, went to Coffee Cameleon for breakfast every morning, and went to katerina’s Caf for dinner several times during the weekdays. The second group is IT Technician Sven Flecha and Building Control Stenig Fusil. They usually went to Brew’ve Been Served for breakfast and Guy’s Gyros for dinner. It is normal for people with the same job types to be meet frequently outside of the company. These two groups have the most significant close relationships in all of the employees across different departments.(Fig 2.10)
-
The credit card charges are usually equal to the loyalty card records. There are some cases that the loyalty card record is larger than credit card transactions. Ada Campo-Corrente spent $15 more with the loyalty card than the credit card at Hippokampos at 9pm on January 10th. On January 18th, Isande Borrasca spent $50 more with the loyalty card than the credit card at Abila Zscharo at 1pm. The event is significant because it may show that the person is using loyalty card for other people's CC transaction. Sometimes the loyaty record is less than the CC transaction. The difference is multiply of $20 such as $40 and $60. We consider the person cashed out $20 bills after purchasing.(Fig 2.11)
- Some employees went to breakfast without paying it. For example, Lucas Alcazar went to the Hallowed Ground every weekday, but did not pay on January 10th, 13th, 14th and 15th. (Fig 2.12)

Problems about Car 28 and the driver is Elsa Orilla (a Drill Technician):
Car 28's GPS both system errors and random errors. It has an overall displacement of latitude by 0.005 and longitude by -0.005. As a result, Car 28 was misplaced to northwest. Also the latitude and longitude ramdomly jumped in a range of 0.0015 degree. We compared the distance differences between car 28 and a normal car 26. (Fig 3.1) -
There are problems related to expenses at Bean There Done That ,Brewed Awakenings and Jack's Magical Beans. The expenses at these three places didn’t show up until 12pm (place17 and place49 may be the same store branches located in different places). Also, transactions happend in Kronos Mart won't shown up till the next day.
-
Car 9 some times drove in a very low speed for a long time. It means that the car’s GPS does not have signal right away while the car start to drive. (Fig 3.3)
-
Many trucks's speed shown in a very regular pattern ranging from 0 to 60. (Fig 3.4)
-
Car 1 spent money in U-Pump while stay at Hippokampos. But Hippokampos is far away from U-Pump. Also he spent money in Frydos Autosupply n' More while he was at Ouzeri Elian. Ouzeri Elian is far away from Frydos Autosupply n' More. (Fig 3.5)
